Tiffany valeska

Valeska is a compassionate and fierce advocate for women and families experiencing gendered violence.
Valeska obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia and completed her articling year at Rise Women’s Legal Centre. Valeska has experience conducting multi-day trials, obtaining protection orders, preparing separation agreements, negotiating and drafting settlements, and representing individuals in both the BC Provincial and Supreme Court.
Valeska has experience working with low-income women and women who experienced family violence. In her work, Valeska strives to improve access to justice and work with each individual client to meet their unique needs and priorities. Valeska is committed to empowering her clients to make informed decisions and preserve their agency as they navigate their family law matter.
Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch

Jylelle is a passionate and dedicated attorney with a commitment to ending violence against women. Jylelle obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. She has experience representing individuals in multiple administrative tribunals, as well as the BC Provincial and Supreme Court.
Jylelle has previously worked in multiple legal non-profits assisting low-income individuals experiencing systemic violence. Jylelle is committed to working alongside clients to determine and address their concerns.
Jylelle has particular interest with helping women and families navigating immigration processes, and strives to be inclusive in the provision of her legal services.

Vicky is the founder of Equitas Law Group. Vicky dedicated several years of her career as a solo practitioner supporting many women and families in navigating complex immigration issues and family law matters.
Vicky is no longer with Equitas and is now a lawyer at Rise Women's Legal Centre for the Virtual Legal Clinic (VLC), where she mentored Valeska during her articling year. The VLC is a new initiative to provide legal services to women outside the Vancouver Lower Mainland. In her work, Vicky finds innovative ways through technology to improve access to justice for women. Vicky continues to be a passionate advocate for women experiencing intimate partner violence.
In the little spare time she has, Vicky is a gifted pianist and regular sourdough baker.
